  • Antony Rowland

    Antony Rowland

    Clinical Director

    MRCVS

    Antony graduated from Bristol University in 1991, and joined our team shortly after. He became a partner and clinical director a few years later and played a vital role in the development of our hospital. He has worked with guide dogs for many years, and completed the Great North Run in 2021 to raise money for them – he even has two withdrawn guide dogs of his own! In his spare time, he enjoys mountain biking and going surfing.

    Marcus started his career at a farm practice in the Peak District, before deciding to focus on small animal work. He has since completed further qualifications in small animal surgery and emergency and critical care, and became one of our clinical directors in 2021. In his free time, he enjoys walking with his wife, daughter and dog, Peanut, riding his mountain bike and motorcycle, and looking after his ginger cat, Tom.

  • Charlotte Swain

    Charlotte Swain

    Senior Veterinary Surgeon

    Charlotte graduated in 2017 and began her career at a large vet hospital in Manchester. She later completed an internship at a referral practice and achieved a post graduate certificate in veterinary nursing and surgery. She has a passion for internal medicine and diagnostics and enjoys camping, hiking with her dog Meave and watching Netflix.

    Antonio studied in Madrid and qualified as a vet in 2014, before moving to Manchester to kickstart his veterinary career. He has been with us since 2018, and loves learning new things and getting to work alongside our lovely team.

    Emily graduated from Liverpool Vet School in 2013 and has since completed an advanced practitioner certificate in surgery. In her spare time, she enjoys climbing and taking long walks with her partner and their cocker spaniel, Martha. She has a small zoo at home, which features two cats and a guinea pig called Norman.

    Ruth joined the Armac team in 2021, shortly after graduating from the Royal Veterinary College. When she’s not wearing scrubs, she can often be found enjoying great food and wine with her friends, visiting her family home in the Lake District or roaming the fells with her lovely Labradoodle, Alfie.

    Hayley graduated from Bristol Vet School in 2016 and has worked in small animal practices in and around Lancashire ever since. She joined our team in 2022 and spends much of her free time baking, playing netball, going for long walks with her husband, children and Labrador Hazel, and looking after her lovely cat, Derek.

  • Zoe Cooper

    Zoe Cooper

    Night Vet

    MRCVS

    After graduating from the University of Liverpool in 2017, Zoe headed to South Africa to complete an internship in wildlife medicine. She joined our team shortly after and has since built up a wealth of small animal, emergency and critical care experience. In her free time, she enjoys climbing, running, playing squash, camping, hiking with her rescue dogs and fitting in conservation work whenever she can.

    Nicola graduated in 2013 and has since achieved advanced practitioner status in emergency and critical care. She joined our night team in 2018, and before welcoming her first baby could often be found scuba diving with her husband in exotic locations. Nowadays she enjoys walking her labrador and whippet, and curling up by the fire with her black cat, Sirius.
